City of Portland Fiscal Year 2026-27 Proposed Budget ??Support staff to the City Administrator provide high-level administrative, operational, and project coordination support to ensure the efficient functioning of the office.? Equity Impacts ??The Office of the City Administrator is supported by the City Attorney, the Sustainability Officer, the Equity Officer and the Office of Equity and Human Rights, Government Relations, Portland Solutions, and the Engagement Officer and Civic Life. Together, the City Administrator's Office is responsible for leading and coordinating operations across the city to improve the delivery of internal and external services, developing and implementing a shared Citywide vision and priorities, and continuing to grow a shared culture across the organization. Changes to Program ??The City Administrator Staff submitted a roughly $53k current service level concept for ongoing internal and external material costs that exceed the FY 26-27 current appropriation level. If the resources are not provided, the City Administrator's support staff will not have sufficient resources to cover the Office's internal material services budget which includes space rent, Bureau of Technology Service costs, risk management, etc. ?The Office submitted 3% and 10% cut scenarios that would reduce one of the two supporting positions from full-time to part-time (0.75–0.9 FTE). With only partial staffing support, it will be significantly more difficult to provide the level of assistance necessary for the City Administrator to effectively lead the organization. The Performance Officer realignment is addressed in a separate program offer and not included the City Administrator support staff's cut concept target amounts. ? 125
