Legal review of any applicable state or federal preemption risks or revenue- sharing limitations. 5. Redistribution and Transparency a. Assuming a fee is developed, provide recommendations for the creation of a public-facing Asset Forfeiture Reinvestment Fund, with criteria for how fee revenues will be allocated; b. Strategies for community involvement in determining funding priorities. B&F should consult with the City Attorney and the City Auditor’s Office to ensure that the proposed options are legally viable, enforceable, and consistent with the City’s equity goals. Morillo 18 – Restore City Budget Office Analyst Positions Motion to restore the financial analyst and performance analyst positions in the City Budget Office that were proposed for elimination in the Mayor’s proposed budget. • Increase bureau program expenses by $350,000 in the City Budget Office General Fund. • Increase ongoing General Fund Discretionary resources by $152,915 and General Fund Overhead resources by $197,085 for bureau program expenses in the City Budget Office. • Increase 2.0 FTE in the City Budget Office. • Reduce Fund and Debt Management Contingency by $350,000, backed by $152,915 of General Fund discretionary resource and $197,085 of General Fund overhead resource remaining from the Approved Budget actions. • Update Attachments A-H as needed to reflect this change. 57
